Looking Cute

Emma had pig tails today, and just looked cute. Oink oink.

First Day of School

Emma went to her first day of school on Monday, August 25, 2008. She is a kindergartner at Geneva Elementary and her teacher is Mrs. Detterbeck. Emma loves going (especially since she has not had any homework yet). Here she is on her first day with her new backpack and in front of her school.

More From the Quilt Show

I always try to find a chicken something for Allie, because she doesn't like them. This one was actually quite amazing. Lots of time and effort went into this chicken.

This is the book I bought, and am going to try the one that is on the front.

Here are a few quilts that I liked.

In the parking lot, there was a Mommy Bird, I believe technically known as a Killdeer. They live in our yard in Oklahoma. It made me feel at home to hear her and watch her run with her little stick legs. I couldn't get really close for a good picture, so hopefully you can see her.

Last Supper Quilt

For my birthday, I got to go to a quilt show. Once again, it is obvious that it is me and not Seth who is doing the blogging. Anyway, I got to go without small helpers (otherwise known as children) and with birthday money to spend. I had a wonderful time and even learned a few things.

They had a display of the Last Supper quilt. It has over 50,000 squares in it. They are all 1/2 inch squares. It was made by this cute older man, Don Locke. I was lucky enough to get my picture taken with him and his masterpiece. He told me we were engaged after our picture. I felt honored.
He even signed a post card of the picture for me.

Snug as two bugs in a bed

This is how I found them sleeping one night.

Regressing?

Andrew had been trying to get in the sink the last few times I had done dishes, so last Sunday I let him. He had a wonderful time, even if he didn't fit as well as he did when he was little.

He's trying to catch the water, but it always seems to get away.

Who says you can have too much material, besides your husband?

These are some baby blankets I made for Allie to take to Rwanda. All with 99 cent flannel, courtesy of the day after Thanksgiving madness.

Mom, we want to play kitchen in the living room!! Well, it bought me some time to do laundry and blog, and it actually wasn't too messy or contentious.

Who says you need more than pj's and early morning cartoons?

The Sand Man's a commin'

Emma fell asleep after reading her books. You can tell she's Seth's daughter because she loves reading, sleeping with fat pillows, and falling asleep with the light on. I can't stand the fat pillows or the light. But, at least Emma and I agree on the same types of books.

Pretty Woman

Allie gave me all of her old clothes to go through, and then I gave the rest to DI. But, it seems that she also gave Emma her childhood ability to walk in high heels.

I still can't really walk in high heels. Maybe Allie should have passed it on to me, too.

Yup Yup, we're going to the Zoo today!!

We took advantage of a nice spring day and or expiring zoo pass today. The kids had lots of fun. Andrew really noticed lots of animals today. We even hear a cougar making this cute little cougar cry. You can tell that Seth isn't writing this, because I'm sure he wouldn't of referred to the sound as cute.

Blogging Dangerous For Your Couch

I'm sure there are studies about blogging, typing, computer screens, ect being bad for your health. But, I'm not sure that there will be one telling you the dangers of blogging on your couch. Andrew decided to mutilate the piece of bread he was suppose to be eating while I was in on the computer.

Easter Pictures

We went to Macey's on Saturday for free Easter Bunny activities. Here's Emma the bunny and Andrew in his new church clothes.

Hey - I finally remembered my password!!

I was so excited to start a blog, but then promptly forgot how to log in, and hence, not able to post more. Anyway, I finally figured it out, and have written down how to get here. Anyway, now I'm going to try and post some more pictures.
